- When asked if Esmeral was married to Colonel Deathsaurus, creator Jesse Wittenrich answered that Esmeral is "too busy saving the whales of Pequod" to have a husband.[1] Wittenrich further elaborated that Esmeral and Deathsaurus once had a fling but now occupy different positions in life.[2]
