Synopsis

[edit]

I-QUEUE notes that in one universe, while the Beast Wars raged, another secret war was going on against a Unicron-empowered warlord. I-QUEUE proceeds to go over some of the players in this war.

2. Which two sparks were fused in order to become the powerful Maximal known as Windrazor? A. Silverbolt and Quickstrike B. Tigatron and Airazor C. Jetfire and Wing Saber D. The Veteran and the Cub

3. Originally known only as the Hunter, this Predacon came under the influence of Unicron when he discovered the Matrix of Conquest. Who is he? A. Rampage B. Shokaract C. Sharkticon D. Razorclaw

4. Before he defected to the Maximals, what position did Onyx Primal have as a Predacon? A. Scientist B. Spy C. Prison guard D. Assassin.

5. "Sandstorm" was an alias used by a member of the Covenant, allowing him to infiltrate the Cybertron ruled by Shokaract. What is his true name? A. Stinger B. Scorpoison C. Pincher D. Scorpius

Meanwhile, in Primax -408.24 Epsilon, Aquarius' companion is annoyed, having been promised to be taken back to her home universe once she recovered the piece Aquarius was looking for. Aquarius apologizes, assuming that his partner must have mixed up the frequencies, and attempts to call him. It is soon made apparent that this trip was intentional, however; as a woolly figure steps out of a portal, Aquarius explains that they are here to pick up the Origin Matrix, completing the Star Saber!

Notes

[edit]
  • Characters mentioned include: the big guy.

Continuity notes

[edit]
  • Aquarius and his companion were last seen in installment #6, where "Dorothy" (as Aquarius called her) recovered part of the Star Saber for him. Aquarius and Nexus Prime have been searching for the Star Saber part ever since, "Reunification: Part 1", and now, the search nears completion, setting up events for latter...
  • Ultra Mammoth arrives in the modern day after blasting a hole in spacetime, as seen in "Shattered Destiny", published in the same issue.

Transformers references

[edit]
  • The answer to the 1st question is Apelinq; the question is illustrated with a panel of him from Transformers: Universe Featuring the Wreckers issue #3 (pencils by Guido Guidi, inks by Vince Russell and Chuck Gibson, colors by Blond). Other options include Hotlink, a name for a Seeker in both the "Aligned" and "Generation 1" continuities.
  • The correct answer to the second question is D; the question is illustrated with a panel of Windrazor from the recap section of the BotCon 2000 comic, "Terminus" (art by Lee Sullivan). Other options include Silverbolt and Quickstrike, the Fuzors who showed up in the Beast Wars cartoon; Tigatron and Airazor, who were fused by the Vok into Tigerhawk; and Armada Jetfire and Energon Wing Saber, who both could combine with Optimus Prime.
  • Shokaract is the correct answer for question 3; the question is illustrated with a panel of him from "Terminus" (pencils and inks by Geoff Senior, colors by Andrew Wildman). Other answers include Rampage, the Beast Wars toy he was redecoed from, and Razorclaw, another Predacon crab from the Beast Wars toyline.
  • D is the correct answer for question 4; the question is illustrated with Onyx Primal's box art (art by Dave Karras). Originally sold as a Predacon, Hasbro had 3H Productions retroactively declare him as a Maximal, due to being a redeco of one. Thus, in-fiction, Onyx Primal was depicted as having defected from the Predacons.
  • Scorpius is the correct answer for question 5; the question is illustrated with Sandstorm's box art (art by Mainframe Entertainment). Other answers include Stinger, an Autobot scorpion cassette mentioned in early drafts for The Transformers: The Movie, and Pincher, an Autobot Pretender with a scorpion alt-mode.

Real-world references

[edit]
  • Scorpoison was named after a brand of vodka Jesse Wittenrich once saw at a store, chosen because it sounded like a Beast Wars-style name.

Other trivia

[edit]
  • The art in the comic section featuring Aqarius is by Jesse Wittenrich.

Errors

[edit]
  • Wing Saber's name is spelled "Wingsaber".
