The U-Haul Robot was forced to participate in gladiatorial games for the Quintessons' amusement, and wielded a spiked ball-and-chain weapon and a tire-shaped shield during this time. He was once defeated in battle by the "[[Powerful Robot]]" - who attacked their Quintesson masters when their match was over, only to be destroyed himself.

| The U-Haul Robot rose to prominence as the Autobot-Decepticon conflict escalated, becoming [[Matrix-bearer]] at some point. When the Autobots invented the stealthy art of transforming, he was among the first to become a "Transformer," and afterwards participated in various conflicts against Decepticons. During these battles, he is known to have bumped a green robot off an elevated point with his vehicle mode and punched a pink robot in the ventral plating.
