Cybercrosis is a Cybertronian disease with no known cure and a 100% fatality rate. Its mere existence challenges the popularly-held notion of Cybertronian immortality. Essentially caused by the spark 'giving out', it causes an incremental shutdown in a Transformer's body. In its early stages, cybercrosis causes one's innermost energon to curdle and destroys the ability to transform. As it progresses, the disease induces paralysis and blindness, then partial muteness and, potentially, memory loss. Death always follows shortly thereafter.

Cybercrosis existed before even Cyclonus's time. The Fecund Moon

Millions of years ago, Dominus Ambus sought the cure for cybercrosis. He went so far as to go into space and search for Luna 1 in the hopes that the lost moon would hold the answer to his quest, but was ultimately unsuccessful. Before & After

Following the war, Swerve reflected that he should be using the newfound time of peace to do something constructive like curing cybercrosis instead of playing pranks on people. You, Me, and Other Revelations

Pharma was the first to document age-induced cybercrosis.

Ratchet diagnosed Tailgate with cybercrosis, blaming it on old age and exposure to radiation. According to the death clock, Tailgate only had about three days left to live, having already lost both his innermost energon and his transformation cog to the disease. The Fecund Moon Tailgate later displayed some difficulty moving, indicating that paralysis was beginning to set in. The Divided Self He was also afflicted by deafness, which actually let him save the day by ignoring Tyrest's sound-based paralysis weapon, but his body broke down and collapsed shortly afterwards. Swerve did later find a cure to cybercrosis in Pharma's lab on Luna 1, though it came too late to reverse the shrinking of Tailgate's spark. Fortunately Cyclonus found a way to re-energize the spark, stabilizing Tailgate's condition enough for the cure to be implemented, saving his life. This Calamitous Life
