On Christmas Eve, Cynthia and her family were on their way to Midville Town Square to see the Christmas tree lights be turned on. On the way, they crossed paths with Bumblebee and Tracks, then chasing down Soundwave and Laserbeak for their attempt to steal electricity from the nearby power plant. In the Decepticons' escape, Laserbeak shot down a tree, bringing it down on the Perrys' car.

Bumblebee came to the family's aid. He gave them a ride into town so they could deliver the presents they had in hand, and witness the lights being turned on downtown. The power-lines were unfortunately destroyed, but Bumblebee powered the Christmas lights himself with cables running from his engine. The Night the Transformers Saved Christmas
