Fiction

[edit]

Of Masters and Mayhem

[edit]

Rotorbolt was part of a team along with Crash Test, Skyfire, and Wind Sheer which rescued Counterpunch from Gargoid. Subsequently, he joined his comrades in gunning down Counterpunch when it appeared that their comrade was in fact the Autobot Punch. The Truth We Make

Notes

[edit]
No elbows? No problem.
  • Rotorbolt is based on the Diaclone Helicopter Type (ヘリコプタータイプ) Triple Changer toy, which did not see release in the 1980s Generation 1 line. Fumes is based on the same toy but in gray.
  • Justin Severson, author of "The Truth We Make", stated[1] that he did not intend for Of Masters and Mayhem Rotorbolt to be a version of Universe Rotorbolt, but later clarified that his quiet nature was a reference to the Wrecker.[2]
  • "Last Sunset" introduced Skyklik, an amnesiac Autobot character based on the same toy as Rotorbolt. Skyklik's previous identity was left deliberately ambiguous by author Andrew Hall, conveniently leaving open the possibility that he had previously been the Classics incarnation of Fumes or Rotorbolt.[3]
