Callie and Marie, better known as the Squid Sisters, are a pair of Inkling celebrities residing in Inkopolis. In addition to their careers as the news anchors for Inkopolis News, they are also a renowned pop idol duo, often performing for huge crowds in Inkopolis Square.

- During Splatfest performances, the Squid Sisters' color schemes change to correspond with the two participating teams. For the Transformers Splatfest, Callie changed to Autobot red, while Marie was clad in Decepticon purple.
- Callie has claimed to be a fan of Optimus Prime, while Marie thinks Shockwave, Soundwave, and Megatronus are the coolest members among the Decepticon ranks.
- Their names are a pun on "calamari", the name for squid as a food item.
