Legends of Cybertron
Legends of Cybertron
Rulers of Kaon
#"Rulers of Kaon"
*Boss: Megatron (Around 100,000)
#"Revenge of the King"
**Notable Enemies: Mixmaster, Mirage.
#"Rise of Kolkular"
An EXTREMELY and tough special mission that boasts unfair and unbalanced. All the enemies faced here are cranked up to eleven stat wise. Extremely high ranking bots, and extreme precision and skill is required to beat this extremely tough side mission.

It is recommended to bring in Maxed 4 star bots (Forge level, and Bot level) into this fight with very powerful synergies.

Revenge Of The King
*Boss: Grimlock (???) (It's helpful to note no one has gotten too far into Revenge of the King yet.)
**Notable Enemies: ???
And you thought Megatron was bad? This is another EXTREMELY tough special mission (recommended for people near the end game) that also boasts an extremely tough difficulty. The difference here being that it takes Rulers Of Kaon, and flips it on it's head difficulty wise. Did we also mention that most of the bots here are 5 Stars in-between the 100,000's? It is VERY HIGHLY recommended to not only bring in Maxed out 4 star bots, but also bring in a few Maxed 5 star bots (If you have any) and said bots also should have extremely powerful synergies and Abilities, because you'll REALLY need it.

Very Helpful Notes about Legends Of Cybertron:
** You will want LOTS of practice in the arena. This mission demands it.
**There is a guide to help you fight through Rulers Of Kaon. It is highly recommended to look at this for helpful tips before starting. No guide for Revenge Of The King exists yet.
** You will want something to snack on, because Legends of Cybertron is VERY long and ardous to complete. On average, each enemy alone takes a couple minutes to beat depending.
** Have a swear jar at the ready. These two missions are very good practice for not swearing.
** Of the two bosses that stand out in ROK, Mixmaster is the most well behaved. We mean it.

Spotlight Missions
Spotlight Missions
Spotlight Missions are limited-time story missions that focus on the game's newest characters. Typically lasting about a month, fully completing these missions will reward the player with character-based chips to go toward purchasing that month's character in the Store, in addition to the standard Gold, XP and Ore-13.

Code of a Hero
The Necropolis
It's a race on New Quintessa for the Golden Disk!  Dinobot hunts for the artifact so he can destroy it before it falls into the wrong hands. Rhinox takes off trying to help Dinobot. Waspinator tries to steal the disk for himself. Grimlock is confused by Dinobot's name. We're all confused when the "stone shattered disk" has Alien disk markings on one side and Voyager disk markings on the other.

When Optimus and Ultra Magnus (and Megatron, oddly) go missing, a search party sets out to find them, but lose their faculties to Megatronus's corrupting signal, until only Arcee and the Commander are left. A new signal is detected on New Quintessa, which turns out to be Scorponok. But he's not exactly coherent — he can't quite remember who he is or why he's here, but knows that he needs to find (a) Megatron. While Scorponok runs into Waspinator and confuses Grimlock and Dinobot for each other, the Maximals head out to either help or subdue him. But the Predacon is slowly starting to piece things together...

Also, Waspinator is one of the most lonely 'bots ever.

Notes
Notes
*Forged to Fight is an extremely referential game. Just about everything, from story dialogue to Bot Synergies to the actual combat moves themselves, is a callback to something from Transformers history. We've noted the more significant ones here but, seriously, we could write an entire article on the number of references alone.
Errors
* In the Mission "Voices", Windblade is seen in the dialogue as hearing Quintesson voices in her head, and thus one would assume you fight Windblade at the end of the mission, given that she's then brainwashed into fighting Optimus and the Commander. In the actual game, the Commander fights Mirage. Weird.
* In the Hound Spotlight, during the Mission "Trust Issues", Ironhide states that Hound had saved Ironhide on numerous occasions when KSI and Cemetery Wind were hunting down Autobots. This cannot have happened, because Ironhide was dead long before the two companies had been formed because of a dirty backstabbing jerk. However, the multidimensional setting of the game gives this a slight bit of wiggle room.
* Drift states in the Divided Loyalties spotlight mission "Bring Him Home" that Hot Rod has wielded the Matrix of Leadership before. This has never once been mentioned anywhere else. Maybe he's referring to a different Hot Rod? Or maybe...
* Do we even need to explain how broken Mirage is in Rulers Of Kaon?
* In the promotional art, Windblade is dual-wielding her signature sword.
* Bonecrusher is mis-labelled as Revenge of the Fallen Bonecrusher, despite the fact that he was not in said film. There was a bot with Bonecrusher's appearance, but there's no confirmation the two were intended to be the same character.
* When sidestepping during battle, sometimes the random debris strewn on the battlefield will get stuck on the Character model's feet. This can lead to some very interesting shenanigans.
* The S-1000 Sharkticon, when fought as an NPC in game, is displayed as not having a class. Despite this however, the S-1000 will still receive a debuff from Warrior class bots, as in game the playable S-1000 Sharkticon is listed as a Scout class.

Trivia
*As of the time of this writing (May 2023), Dinobot is the only character to have a unique victory animation, not sharing it with any other characters.
* In the "Shattered Bridges" Special Event, the Shattered Glass Transformers have clear distinctions in their portraits, stylistic differences, their proper characters, and the proper insignias for their respective counterparts, with even a few new ones thrown in here and there! But nonetheless, the bots fought in game that are meant to represent these characters do not reflect the in game differences, and simply remain as their stock counterparts, as making entirely new game models would be too taxing on the poor developers.
* In the transition to the Netflix version, a few characters ended up changing their classes to compensate for the imbalance caused by the removal of the movie characters: Windblade went from Scout to Warrior, Skywarp from Tech to Scout, and Soundblaster from Tactician to Demolitions. Similarly, while Chromia debuted in the Netflix version as a Warrior, unfinished data for her could be found in the original release before it shut down, which listed her with the Tech class.

Geewunners vs. Bayformers vs. Munkys and GIVE ME YOUR FACE.
Developer Kabam
Publisher Kabam
Platform iOS, Android
Release date April 5, 2017 (worldwide)

May 10, 2023 (relaunch)

Transformers: Forged to Fight (formerly called Transformers: Generations Collide) is a fighting RPG mobile game by Kabam. It features characters from Generation 1, the live-action film series, and Beast Wars. [1]

The game was originally shut down on January 13, 2023. A new version of the game was announced and launched exclusively for Netflix subscribers on May 10, 2023. This new version removed all in-app purchases and ads, as well as characters from the live-action film series, while adding new characters not present in the original release. This version is set to shut down (again) on May 8, 2026.

Story

[edit]

The Autobots and the Earth Defense Command have found a way to restore life to Cybertron, so Optimus Prime, with Marissa Faireborn and her crew, begins the long journey home. But passing through the Eshems Nebula, they encounter a spatial warp field and the Ark crash-lands on an unknown planet. After encountering corrupted Autobots and Decepticons alike, Optimus entrusts the Matrix of Leadership to the Commander. As the Commander, you must find reinforcements, set up a base of operations and defense, and discover the secrets of the planet.

Side Missions

[edit]

Typically lasting about a month, fully completing these missions will reward the player with character-based chips to go toward purchasing that month's character in the Store, in addition to the standard Gold, XP and Ore-13.

Shattered Glass Invasion

  1. "Prime Suspect"
  2. "Shattered Bridges"
  3. "Shattered Lenses"
  4. "Shattered Fates"

Autobot Civil War

  1. "Magnus Opus"
  2. "Feast and Famine"
  3. "Defragmentation"

The Necropolis

  1. "Empire of Dirt"
  2. "Era of Rust"
  3. "TBA"

Gameplay

[edit]

Gameplay is similar to Marvel Contest of Champions, also made by Kabam.

  • Right Tap: Light attack or Shoot when far away
  • Right Swipe: Medium attack or Dash forward when far away
  • Right Hold: Heavy attack - Transform into alt mode and break through an opponent's block
  • Left Swipe: Dash backward
  • Left Hold: Block - reduce incoming damage
  • Left Up/Down: Sidestep up/down

When a bot lands and receives enough hits, a Special Attack becomes ready to be used. Higher ranked bots can have their Power further charged for a Special 2 or 3 for epic damage combos! Only one bot can use a special attack at once though! So plan and block or dodge accordingly!

Characters and Mods
Forging

Classes

[edit]
Clockwise from top right: Warrior, Scout, Tech, Demolitions, Tactician, Brawler

Each Bot falls into one of six classes. Each class listed gains an attack bonus over the class below it, and has a disadvantage against the class above it.

  • Scouts quickly eliminate opponents with frequent Special Attacks and a high Critical Rate. Their rapid attacks give them an advantage over Tech bots.
  • Tech Bots generate shields, manipulate Power, and equip some of the most advanced custom weaponry. Their shielding abilities help them when facing Demolitions bots.
  • Demolitions Bots are burst damage experts that buff their Special Attacks for bigger, bolder, explosions. Their fewer attacks give them an advantage over Tactician bots.
  • Tacticians' strong synergies and master strategies help them adapt during a fight to turn their enemies' strengths against them. Their anti-Armor abilities help them when facing Brawler bots.
  • Brawlers are armored allies and furious foes that value strength at any cost. Their low Critical Rate and high attacks give them an advantage over Warrior bots.
  • Warriors have deadly accuracy and love bleeding Energon from their opponents. Their tracking systems give them an advantage over the evasive Scout bots.

Mods

[edit]
Main article: Module

Base

[edit]

At the Commander's base, you can assign Bots and Mods to the seven nodes on your base to defend it, and generate Gold over time. The higher the star rating and rank of the bot, the more Gold is generated over a longer time.

There are also these main structures in a base:

  • Crystal Extractors - Claim 4-hour Crystals and Daily Crystals from these extractors.
  • Alliance HQ (level 5) - Help other Alliance players with help requests to earn Loyalty points Gold.
  • Battle Center (level 7) - View other commanders' attempts to raid your base, and enact revenge within 24 hours.
  • Mobile Command (Level 10) - Send bots on Away Missions for a small Gold fee to earn decent amounts of currencies.

Relics

[edit]

Relics give a permanent boost when placed on your base, each found through specific tasks.

  • Immobilizer - Was obtained as a possible prize from an Alliance Crystal or Shattered Lands Crystal, but has since been removed.
  • Star Saber - Was obtainable in the Raid Store at some point in the game for 2,000,000 Raid Chips. It's now available in the Raid Store as part of the "Legacy" set, being bought for 20 Raid Tickets. It gives +5% Offense in Story Missions.
  • Covenant of the Primus - Obtained by completing Act 1 100%.
  • Dark Energon Orb - Obtained by completing Act 2 Chapter 3 100%.
  • Effigy of Solus Prime - Obtained by completing Act 3 100%. (Which means it's currently unobtainable seeing as Act 3 isn't finished.)
  • Matrix of Leadership - An anniversary relic given to players who joined before v1.1. It gives +15% XP in Story and Special Missions.
  • Matrix of Leadership (Live-action) - Obtained after 21 consecutive days of logging on during the Last Knight Calendar in June of 2017. It's now available in the Raid Store as part of the "Legacy" set, being bought for 15 Raid Tickets. It gives +5% XP in Story and Special Missions.
  • AllSpark - As part of the "Legacy" set, it is bought using 25 Raid Tickets. It gives a +5% boost to Offense and Defense.
  • Gold Raid Trophy - In the same vein as the Star Saber, is obtainable from the Raid Store for 1500 Medals and 1,000,000 Raid Chips. It gives +4% Attack and Health in Raids. Hasn't been removed yet, so get it while it lasts!
  • Fallen Titan Hand - Can be obtained by completing the extremely difficult Rulers of Kaon Special Mission. It gives a Commander +5% XP bonus.
  • Hot Rod Relic (Tier 1-3) - Obtained after completing the "Question of Loyalty" Special mission arc 100% on either of the three difficulties. It gives a 1, 2, or 4% Attack and Health in Special Missions.
  • Megatron Relic (Live-action) (Tier 1-3) - Obtained for completing the "Size Matters" special mission arc 100% on either of the three difficulties. It gives a 1, 2, or 4% Attack and Health bonus in Alliance Missions.
  • Unstable Energon Cube (Tier 1-4) - Obtained for completing the "Shocking Revelations" special mission arc 100% on either of the three difficulties. It gives +5-14% XP in Story and Special Missions.

    • All of the character specific Relics make resurgences as part of "Legacy" sets, being bought for 2/4/6 Raid Tickets depending on their ranking and level.

Items

[edit]
Just a sample of the many items of overcomplication.

Resources

[edit]
  • Gold - The standard currency used to upgrade Transformers and Mods, and to start Away Missions and Arena fights.
  • Arena Chips - Used to purchase Arena Crystals, and can be earned in the Arena and Away Missions.
  • Raid Chips - Used to purchase Basic Ore, Spark, Spark Essence, Mods, and limited-time items from the Raid Store, and can be earned by raiding players' bases and from Away Missions.
  • Energon - The premium currency that can be earned through various tasks or purchased with real money.
  • Loyalty - Was used to purchase Loyalty Crystals and to start Alliance Mission maps, and is earned helping players with their requests. This currency was removed in v.2.0.

Energy

[edit]
  • Mission Energy - Used to progress in missions. It takes 6 minutes to recharge one battery. Maximum capacity is increased as a player levels up.
  • Raid Ticket - Required to start a Raid. It takes 1 hour to replenish a raid ticket, up to 3.

Upgrades

[edit]

Upgrading Bots and Mods is a multi-step process. A Bot's or Mod's level is increased only by upgrading them with Ore-13 and Gold. Upon reaching every 10 levels, the Bot then can be ranked up with Spark and Gold. Bots and Mods with higher star ratings require more amounts of higher-class Spark with each rank.

  • Ore-13 - Used to level up Bots and Mods along with Gold.
  • Spark - Prism-shaped Sparks are used to rank up Bots and Mods, and can be formed from their respective Spark Essence or earned in Crystals.
  • Spark Essence - Spark Essence is obtained from Daily Missions, some crystals, or daily deals.
    • Tier 1 Basic Spark - 100 Tier 1 Basic Spark Essence
    • Tier 2 Basic Spark - 1000 Tier 2 Basic Spark Essence
    • Tier 3 Basic Spark - 10000 Tier 3 Basic Spark Essence
    • Tier 1 Class Spark - 100 Tier 1 Class Spark Essence
    • Tier 2 Class Spark - 1000 Tier 2 Class Spark Essence
    • Tier 1 Alpha Spark - Required to rank up 3-4 star Bots and Mods, and is formed from 10000 Alpha Spark Essence.
    • Tier 2 Alpha Spark -
    • Tier 1 Mod Class Spark - Defense, Offense, and Utility Sparks used to rank up 3-4 star Mods.

Boosts

[edit]

Introduced in v.2.0, Boosts temporarily increase stats and experience. Boosts are not stackable.

  • Damage Boost - Increases Attack Rating for all bots in all game modes.
  • Health Boost - Increases maximum Health for all bots in all game modes.
  • XP Boost - Increases all XP gain by +50% in Story and Event Missions. 30 minute, 2 hour, and 12 hour Boosts are available.
  • Temporal Boost Reverses the effect of the Temporal Anomalizer Modules found in A Question of Loyalty Story Missions for 20 minutes.

Other

[edit]
  • Full Mission Energy Refill - Instantly recharges Mission Energy.
  • Repair Kits - Restores a set amount of health for a bot during a mission. Tier 1-3 kits are available for a single bot or the whole squad.
    • Raid Repair Kit - Repair Kits that can be only used in Raids.
    • Alliance Mission Repair Kit - Repair Kits that can be only used in Alliance Missions.

Crystals

[edit]
Though there are dozens of crystals, most of them are one of two kinds: common and rare crystals, such as this Standard and Premium Mod Crystal.

Crystals are used in the Space Bridge to win various prizes, which are presented on a scrolling roulette. Although you can stop the wheel early, it does not affect the outcome, as the prize is determined soon after a crystal is activated. Any duplicate Bots and Mods are converted into Class Ore-13 and Gold.

Listed are standard crystals in the game. Specific crystals in limited-time offers are excluded.

  • Free Daily Crystal - This yellow crystal gives 1-3 star Bots or Mods, and can be collected from the base's extractors every 24 hours.
  • Free 4-Hour Crystal - This green crystal gives Gold, Ore-13, Basic Spark Essence, or Tier 1 Repair or Revive Kits, and can be collected from the base's extractors every 4 hours.

  • Alliance Crystal - This crystal gave Bots or Mods with a higher rarity, or even the Immobilizer relic, which can be formed from 1000 loyalty points. In v.2.0, this was changed to a free crystal claimable every 24 hours, and gives Bots, Mods, Boosts, Ore-13, or Alliance Repair or Revive Kits. Notes

[edit]

Errors

[edit]
  • In the Mission "Voices", Windblade is seen in the dialogue as hearing Quintesson voices in her head, and thus one would assume you fight Windblade at the end of the mission, given that she's then brainwashed into fighting Optimus and the Commander. In the actual game, the Commander fights Mirage. Weird.
  • In the Hound Spotlight, during the Mission "Trust Issues", Ironhide states that Hound had saved Ironhide on numerous occasions when KSI and Cemetery Wind were hunting down Autobots. This cannot have happened, because Ironhide was dead long before the two companies had been formed because of a dirty backstabbing jerk. However, the multidimensional setting of the game gives this a slight bit of wiggle room.
  • Drift states in the Divided Loyalties spotlight mission "Bring Him Home" that Hot Rod has wielded the Matrix of Leadership before. This has never once been mentioned anywhere else. Maybe he's referring to a different Hot Rod? Or maybe...
  • Do we even need to explain how broken Mirage is in Rulers Of Kaon?
  • In the promotional art, Windblade is dual-wielding her signature sword.
  • Bonecrusher is mis-labelled as Revenge of the Fallen Bonecrusher, despite the fact that he was not in said film. There was a bot with Bonecrusher's appearance, but there's no confirmation the two were intended to be the same character.
  • When sidestepping during battle, sometimes the random debris strewn on the battlefield will get stuck on the Character model's feet. This can lead to some very interesting shenanigans.
  • The S-1000 Sharkticon, when fought as an NPC in game, is displayed as not having a class. Despite this however, the S-1000 will still receive a debuff from Warrior class bots, as in game the playable S-1000 Sharkticon is listed as a Scout class.

Transformers references

[edit]

Forged to Fight is an extremely referential game. Just about everything, from story dialogue to Bot Synergies to the actual combat moves themselves, is a callback to something from past Transformers media. We've noted some of the more significant ones here, but seriously, we could write an entire article on the number of references alone.

  • Generation 1 and Movie characters are clearly differentiated with their proper classic and movieverse insignias and transformation sounds.
  • Though the game is set on New Quintessa, the actual fights take place in various environments on Earth and Cybertron, including Egypt, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, and the Sea of Rust.
  • The "Forged to Lead" and "Forged to Serve" Synergy Bonuses reference Megatron's team in the first movie, although with Grindor in place of Blackout.
  • Shockwave's first special ability is named after Shockblast.
  • Galvatron's first and third special attacks are a reference to The Transformers: The Movie. The first special attack is from Galvatron flying to his ship, and the third special attack is a reference to his killing of Starscream.
  • Cyclonus is a mishmash of many different Cyclonuses. His regular gun is modeled after Nightstick, specifically his Universe '08 toy, while he also uses a Great Sword for his Special 1 attack.
  • Rather than his original form, Cheetor's model is based on his Transmetal body.
  • Megatronus uses his Prime Wars Trilogy cartoon design, with the addition of a jet mode.

Real-world references

[edit]
  • In Blaster's spotlight mission, the Chapter title "Fight The Power" and the dialogue contained in both "Party Getting Started" and "Fight The Power!" are references to the anime Gurren Lagann, more specifically the song "Libera Me From Hell".
  • In "Enter the Horns", specifically the mission "Bull Scrap", Jazz says that Tantrum looks like the mascot of a basketball team on Earth, a likely reference to the Chicago Bulls.
  • In the mission entitled "Guess Who's Back?" Jazz paraphrases the opening of Eminem's 2002 hit "Without Me" (and by extension, his later song "Just Lose It").
  • In the Galvatron exclusive mission "Half the Battle", Ultra Magnus says the titular line, made famous by the classic G.I. Joe public service announcements.
  • The title and dialogue contained in the Chapter "We'll Need a Bigger Blaster" are obvious shoutouts to Jaws. The Sharkticon's special 3 itself is a blatant reference to the signature "dorsal fin scene" from Jaws.

Trivia

[edit]
  • As of the time of this writing (May 2023), Dinobot is the only character to have a unique victory animation, not sharing it with any other characters.
  • In the "Shattered Bridges" Special Event, the Shattered Glass Transformers have clear distinctions in their portraits, stylistic differences, their proper characters, and the proper insignias for their respective counterparts, with even a few new ones thrown in here and there! But nonetheless, the bots fought in game that are meant to represent these characters do not reflect the in game differences, and simply remain as their stock counterparts, as making entirely new game models would be too taxing on the poor developers.
  • In the transition to the Netflix version, a few characters ended up changing their classes to compensate for the imbalance caused by the removal of the movie characters: Windblade went from Scout to Warrior, Skywarp from Tech to Scout, and Soundblaster from Tactician to Demolitions. Similarly, while Chromia debuted in the Netflix version as a Warrior, unfinished data for her could be found in the original release before it shut down, which listed her with the Tech class.
