Stole her missiles from another universe.

The only thing sharper than Slipstream's acerbic tongue is her keen mind—whether as a soldier or a spy-for-hire, she gets that job done and always keeps her true agenda shielded. Sometimes she's known to be a clone of Starscream; in other times and places, nobody knows where she comes from at all. Who is Slipstream? Someone fast, deadly, and able to shield her energy signature is all you need to know.

Slipstream keeps herself a blank slate, but she's certainly got Starscream's legendarily volcanic temperament!

Transformers: All Spark

[edit]

When Megatron returned from a previous defeat, Slipstream was among his new troops. Looming Threat

2019 IDW continuity

[edit]
First appearance: Transformers #15

Slipstream fought in the War of the Threefold Spark. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Two After the end of the war and the ratification of the Nominus Edict, she fell in with the Ascenticon movement; by the time that Megatron had taken command of the organization, she'd already joined The Rise, a radical splinter group who sought to change Cybertronian society through force. When Megatron put Shockwave in charge of the outfit, she and Sixshot became Shockwave's chief lieutenants. The Change In Your Nature Part Three Security Operations learned of her membership following Chromia and Windblade's investigation of the memorial crater. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Five

Slipstream was hiding out at one of The Rise's more remote bases when Megatron paid a visit. Summoned to the armory along with Sixshot, Slipstream bore witness to the senator beating the scrap out of Shockwave in order to assert his dominance over both the Ascenticons and The Rise. When Shockwave agreed to fall into line, Megatron asked if anyone else required an explanation, with Slipstream noting that the situation was quite clear to her. The Change In Your Nature Part Three

The Rise next launched a strike on a Titan Net subsidiary hub. Slipstream led "Team Stream" (the group was named by Flamewar) to the remote outpost. They subdued any resistance and prepared a data-bomb to upload into the Titan Net, disabling all the massive Cybertronians in orbit. The only exception was Vigilem, to whom Skystalker was bonded as a Cityspeaker. The Change In Your Nature Part Four At Skystalker's direction, Vigilem prepared to make an attack on the Winged Moon. Their mission accomplished, Slipstream cleared out her squad from the hub, returning to their staging ground for the next mission. The Change In Your Nature Part Five

After Vigilem had severed the Tether that connected the Winged Moon to Cybertron, Slipstream and the other members of her team were sent to secure the moon and its energon supplies, Wheeljack: Orbital Decay but discovered that Wheeljack's team of engineers had made it almost impossible for the team to break in. The arrival of Sky Lynx broke the protracted siege, but in the ensuing battle the Decepticons were forced to forced to retreat after Huffer and his group sabotaged the moon's artificial gravity system and created a singularity that wrecked the moon and burned away any remaining energon. The team retreated back to Cybertron aboard Astrotrain, but not after first picking up an irradiated Sunstorm, who'd taken the brunt of the blast. War World: Moon

Slipstream and Team Stream remained on duty with Shockwave at the Rise's remote base despite the Decepticons' consolidation of control in Iacon. They were on watch when Skywarp, the infamous Lord of Misrule, returned to Cybertron looking for some fun. After Skywarp and a very heavy-armed Shockwave caught up, he fled. Sea of Rust II

Slipstream and her unit ambushed Optimus Prime when he visited the immersant site of his mentor, Codexa. His Guard got the Prime to safety, though, with the sacrifice of Ultra Magnus. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part One Shockwave had no use for the former Great General, so he ordered Slipstream to deliver Magnus to Megatron at Iacon. After a brief questioning, Megatron had Slipstream deposit Ultra Magnus with the rest of the political prisoners. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part Two

Another crazy wants to take my spark? I'M OUTTA HERE.

Slipstream and Sixshot were present in Megatron's throne room when they received word Exarchon had returned and renewed his association with Shockwave in the Sonic Canyons. Megatron ordered his lieutenants to gather their forces and move to destroy the Threefold Spark. When Slipstream radioed ahead to Shockwave, however, her Rise commander ordered her unit to stand down. Some in Team Stream remembered the Threefold Spark, and refused to let his return go uncontested. Blackjack and Tracer broke off to meet up with Sixshot, leaving Slipstream with Hyperdrive, Flamewar, and Shadow Striker, uncertain what to do next. War's End Part Two Team Stream sat on the sidelines, weighing their options, when they witnessed the combiner Devastator stride into the canyons. Slipstream and her unit tentatively followed in the combiner's wake, meeting with Shockwave's loyalists, the Combaticons. Exarchon did not set anybody at ease when he arrived, talking about quenching the threat of Cybertron. War's End Part Three Exarchon tried to usurp Devastator's spark and, when that failed, he advanced on Team Stream with hunger in his eyes. Reading the cues, Slipstream quickly ordered her unit to flee. They connected with Sixshot and his new Autobot allies to rally an attack on Exarchon and the Combaticons. Exarchon was destroyed, and Team Stream returned to the Decepticon banner. War's End Part Four

Slipstream and Team Stream joined the Decepticons for the final battle with the Autobots at Darkmount. Fate of Cybertron

My Little Pony/Transformers

[edit]

Slipstream, Thundercracker, and Starscream were sent to steal magical artifacts from the pegasus city of Las Pegasus. Although they were ordered to keep a low profile, Thundercracker promptly blew their cover, and the team were chased back through the spacebridge portal to Cybertron by Twilight Sparkle and her friends. The Magic of Cybertron

Much later, after King Sombra's defeat, Slipstream and Shadow Striker were at the space bridge terminal when Megatron bid the ponies farewell. Finale

Transformers: Earth Wars

[edit]
Where did you come from, where did you go, where did you come from, Slipstream, oh.

Slipstream is a mystery to all. Nobody knows exactly who she is or where she came from, and she doesn't care much to elaborate, as the anonymity perfectly suits her role as a mercenary spy. She plays any part necessary to get the job done, using her ability to mask her energy signature to blend in. The only person who knows here true goals and allegiance is herself, and she plans on keeping it that way. Slipstream Bio

When Megatron was moping over Octopunch's failure on Aquatron, Slipstream suggested that he shouldn't send out his most incompentent, "rusty" soldiers next time, which he didn't take too well. And she didn't mean the Constructicons. Megatron then threatened to compress his troops into crystals if they didn't find more Ocean Amethysts for Shockwave's research. Slipstream made a remark on how "effective" his typical brute force solution was. Shark Bait Event

Her in-game model is largely a copy of her Legends figure, with some slight changes to her shoulder pads and wings in robot-mode.

Legends

[edit]
The Legends version of Animated Slipstream was repurposed as Generation 1 Slipstream in Earth Wars.
Legends Slipstream is a retool of Generations Windblade with a new head, chest, and forearms based on her cartoon design. She transforms into a jet with tilting, spinning VTOL fans and fold in front landing gear. She features new arm-mounted weapons instead of Windblade's sword and scabbard. She was packaged with volume 16 of the Legends Bonus Edition comic.
This mold was also redecoed into BotCon 2016 souvenir Airazor, and served as the model for the non-toy Beast Wars: Uprising incarnation of Stiletto.

Cyberverse

[edit]
  • Slipstream (Ultra Class, 2019)
    • Action Attack: "Sonic Swirl"
Generation 1 Slipstream was repurposed from Cyberverse Slipstream in The Magic of Cybertron.
Ultra Class Slipstream is a roughly Voyager-sized mold. As this toy is the first Cyberverse Slipstream toy to not share a mold with Starscream, it is also the first toy of the character to feature show-accurate robot and jet modes. She features a "Sonic Swirl" Action Attack, which unfurls a large free-spinning rotor setup from her wings to the back of her jet mode when her left arm is pushed in. As this is not sculpted to resemble some kind of energy effect or in-motion part like other Action Attacks in the line, it comes across more as an odd form of propulsion for her jet mode.
In an odd quality control error, Slipstream's packaging refers to her with the feminine inflections of "Seeker" in Spanish and Portuguese but the masculine inflection in French.<ref>BWTF photo review of Cyberverse Ultra Class Slipstream, 14 May 2019</ref>

Swapticons

[edit]
EAT YOUR HEART OUT, DREADWIND.
  • Starscream / Decepticon Slipstream (Two-pack, 2025)
  • Swapticons number: 7
Part of the second wave of Swapticons two-packs, Slipstream transforms into the front half of a fighter jet. Using a coupling mechanism with the head, she can be combined with the packed in Starscream, though she's compatible with every other figure in the line for a multitude of combinations. Her nose cone comes separated in the package and has to be attached by the owner. Her arms are nominally articulated, but the placement of the joint and wings limits their movement.
This mold was also used to make Decepticon Sandstorm.
