Cordon (コルドン Korudon) is a reserve trooper afflicted with a glitch that causes regular memory loss. Eventually, Cordon encountered the Autobots on a battlefield, and was recruited into their faction. During training, Cordon was accused of aiding the enemy and participating in violent acts, but subsequent investigation revealed his memory issues. Deeming him incapable of moral judgment, the Autobots gave Cordon the relatively light sentence of 300 years of community service as the lone reserve trooper on a planet newly settled by humans. He was given a Lamborghini Countach vehicle mode for this assignment, and gained the name "Cordon" for the glowing police blockades he would create with his arm-mounted "Isolation Light". While the human settlers were initially wary of such a seemingly green soldier, Cordon's wide-ranging skills managed to overturn their first impressions. His accomplishments caught the notice of the Decepticons, however, and Garboil approached Cordon in an attempt to lure him into joining the Cobalt Sentries, noting that the Autobot would look nice in blue.

Turning down the offer, Cordon continued his life in the human settlement until he was approached by Delta Magnus, who revealed to Cordon the existence of his backup memories at Diadem, and that he was the only remaining Transformer whose biometrics could unlock the ancient facility. After taking some time to consider, #Toys Cordon agreed to join a mission to Diadem, where the Autobots faced heavy resistance from an alliance of the Decepticons and Quintessons. The Autobots later learned that despite the project being forgotten in aftermath of the Diadem bombing, the factory on planet Foreston where the "G2 bodies" were manufactured had remained active for the past millions of years, autonomously creating and improving new body frames which could now prove a boon in the present day. Cordon joined a mission dispatched by Delta Magnus to the underground facility, which successfully gained access by using Crosscut's senatorial status to override the ancient AI security system. While the team found that a swarm of strangely-evolved prototypes had previously burst its way out of the installation, many advanced G2 bodies were indeed ready for the taking. In a cute bit of slavish accuracy, Cordon flips the sticker detailing under his engine block from Sunstreaker, to reflect the correct orientation of those stickers on his original Diaclone release. Like his wavemate, the "POLIS COUNTACH" (sic) spoiler sticker has been removed (as this toy lacks a license from Lamborghini).

The name or term "Cordon" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Cordon (disambiguation).
Cordon is an Autobot from the Japanese portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
No, no, no, I don't mess with computers, okay? Ever since I died of dysentery on the Oregon Trail, I was like, no thank you. I'm done with this.

Cordon (コルドン Korudon) is a reserve trooper[1] afflicted with a glitch that causes regular memory loss. Among his expertises are the detoxification of iron habu venom, the improvement of dynamo repairs, and even cooking an exquisite feast for harvest festivals.

Oh, come on! I'm the creepy guy that's supposed to be at stuff that you have happen!
 • Cordon (Masterpiece, 2018)
 • ID number: MP-42
 • Release date: October 27, 2018
 • Accessories: Speed Trap Gun, "Cordon Wand" missile/rifle, collector coin (Hasbro Asia release only)
Masterpiece Cordon is a redeco and retool of MP-39 Sunstreaker, transforming from robot to a licensed Lamborghini Countach LP500S with a lightbar, and bearing the mark of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. His front and rear license plates read "CR-03" in reference to his Diaclone progenitor's place as #3 in the Car Robots subline. His new head is accurate to the original Diaclone and Sunstreaker toys, as are his new detailed shins. He includes a new wrist-mountable chrome missile, noticeably missing from MP-39, which has a flip-out handle, enabling it to be handheld; said missile should also work with Masterpiece Sunstreaker.
When purchased from a seller supplied by Hasbro Asia, a collector coin is included, bearing his face on the obverse side. It comes mounted in a folded card resembling his hood and windscreen on the front, and the vehicle's "Super Tuning" mode rear end on the back.[4]
Cordon was redecoed—and slightly retooled, omitting the lightbar—into Spinout.

Generations Selects

[edit]
Ah, come on! The universe isn't gonna let anything bad happen to two best friends unless we're in a fiery crash, and our bodies are burned beyond recognition.
 • Cordon & Autobot Spin-Out (2-pack, 2020)
 • Series: War for Cybertron: Earthrise
 • ID number: WFC-GS20
 • Accessories: Rocket boosters/gun
A Generations Selects add-on to Earthrise, Cordon is a redeco/retool of Deluxe Class Sunstreaker, featuring a new chest/windshield with molded flashers. He transforms from a robot into an unlicensed approximation of a Lamborghini Countach LP500S (most conspicuously missing the spoilers, but also having 5 mm holes back there just in case). His engine block can be used as a pair of rocket boosters or as a gun.
Cordon's translucent chest/windshield was originally supposed to be molded in smoke gray with the flashers painted metallic opaque red, but was changed into colorless clear with translucent red paint flashers for the final product.[5] Despite the windshield's underside not being painted like his mold-mates, it can still be difficult to slot his windshield/roof in place for car mode. This can be resolved by lightly sanding the front portions of the pegs until the gap can be cleanly closed.
Though this mold shares much of its engineering and transformation scheme with Earthrise Wheeljack, it is not a retool of that mold.
He was only available in a two-pack with mold-mate Spin-Out. They share a single instruction sheet, which nonetheless shows both individual toys' transformations in full... and swaps their names around. Oops.
Unfortunately, some parts of Cordon's unpainted white plastic, including his fists, knees, and the areas either side of his crotch, are prone to photodegradation.

Stop! You've violated the law!
 • ID Number: C-06
 • Accessories: "Speed Trap Gun" rifle, Left and right "Power Fists", 2 "Blast Pack" boosters, 3 "Cordon Wand" missiles, Police Officer pilot figure
 • Known designers: Hironori Kobayashi (TakaraTomy)[6], Yuki Ohshima (concept artist)[7], Hidetsugu Yoshioka (packaging artist)
Missing Link Cordon is a minor retool of his wavemate Sunstreaker, he is a direct recreation of his Diaclone toy, with mechanical tweaks that give him a much wider range of articulation like the rest of the Missing Link line, rotation at the neck and elbow, outward leg movement, knees, and an ankle tilt. As a Diaclone character never released in the original Transformers toyline, he isn't marketed as an Autobot, though a classic Rubsign is hidden underneath his left foot and he retains Autobot insignias on his sticker sheet. In addition to all the accessories included with the original G1 toy, Cordon comes packed in with a teeny-tiny Dianaut figure being a Police Officer which can sit in Cordon's driver seat.
