- T-8000 units are Skynet-aligned robots from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Hailing from a war-torn future, the T-8000 Terminators are the heavy artillery for what remains of Skynet's army. Based off the Transformers that Skynet wars against, T-8000s are several times larger than the T-800 line and possess an arsenal to match.

[edit]
In the year 2029, facing total defeat from the Decepticon invasion, Skynet commenced a plan to change the past using a time machine constructed in Omega Base, Skynet’s secret last stronghold. Several T-8000s were among the forces stored inside the facility when the Decepticons discovered it and attacked, and attempted to defend it against them. After Skywarp had destroyed Skynet's HK-Tanks, a T-8000 tackled him down only to have its head blown off for its troubles. However, its contribution distracted the Decepticons long enough for a lone T-800 to enter the time machine. Enemy of My Enemy Part One
In the new history created by that T-800, in 1984 Megatron's corpse was recovered by Skywatch who managed to reverse engineer a new version of Skynet from his remains, the new timeline's T-8000 line being cast in the likeness of the Decepticon leader. Enemy of My Enemy Part Four
Notes
[edit]- The T-8000s are not named in the issue itself. Their identification comes from Alex Milne's concept art included in issue one.
