What did you even do?
Cultural stuff
Yeah, hey. I just happened to see that you somehow "added" something to what I added to Crash Landing Attack Thrust, or maybe removed something, but when I look, it appears as though nothing changed. Am I blind or what? I mean, I'm asking in the sense of understanding this wiki. Oh, just to make it clear, in case I mispoke somehow, I'm not mad or upset or anything like that that you added or removed something to or from what I typed, I'm just confused on what even got changed, and why. Beetle Bug (talk) 04:41, 11 August 2021 (EDT)
:Fanofcoolstuff27 changed an underscore to a space in the Bumblebee link. This makes no difference in appearance or functionality, but is simply a "cleaner" form. --Khajidha (talk) 05:25, 11 August 2021 (EDT)
:: Ah, I thought so, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for that info. Beetle Bug (talk) 05:37, 11 August 2021 (EDT)

What was wrong with update I did?
Why'd you undo my update? Was there something wrong with it? If so, what exactly? Beetle Bug (talk) 03:58, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:By the way, I'm talking about the one on here: https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Child_of_Primus , if there was any confusion. Beetle Bug (talk) 04:00, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
::You linked to Primal's toy page when it was already correctly linking to his fiction section. Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 04:08, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:::To elaborate, linking to what Primal did as part of that group in the fiction that group appeared in is infinitely more important than what toy that fiction was advertising. --M Sipher (talk) 06:03, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:::: So to make sure I got this right, the toy in question only needed to be linked to the list that's on the page, not this sentence: "Led by the legendary champion of Primus, Optimus Primal, their battles against Unicron's Minions are known as the Universe War.". Am I correct in stating that? Beetle Bug (talk) 06:33, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:::::No, the list is part of the fiction write up, it has nothing to do with the toys. We do not cross toys with fiction. Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 08:16, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:::::: Then should I change the toy link update thing that I did on that list? Because I also updated the link that Optimus Primal linked too, as that toy is the same as the one in fiction. That's why I'm a tad bit confused. I mean, if the toy and the version of the Transformer in question are the same, they are generally linked like this. Well, I mean, unless I'm not paying attention to something here. Which is likely given my history. So if I'm being honest, I'm still quite confused on the issue. Well... unless..., which I'm guessing from re-reading this, that in this case the link was supposed to link to the page on the wiki that talks about his actions rather than the toy depicted in the comics. Beetle Bug (talk) 08:42, 13 August 2021
::::::: Which if that's the case, shouldn't it link to https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Primal_(BW)/Beast_Wars_cartoon_continuity#3H_comics , rather than what it does ? Or am I, yet again, not understanding how this wiki works? Because I've seen stuff like this before, and have been witnessing it for a few years, and I'm still unable to tell the difference between "this is how the wiki works" vs. "this is an error that should be fixed". Beetle Bug (talk) 08:48, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:I already changed it. Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 17:22, 13 August 2021 (EDT)
:: Yeah, honestly I did notice that while I was typing the "should I fix it" thing. I just didn't bother changing that. Oops. Well, anyways, what about that whole "shouldn't it link to https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Primal_(BW)/Beast_Wars_cartoon_continuity#3H_comics , rather than what it does ?" thing? Am I right with that, or no? I'm still kinda confused about that. Like I get the rest of this, just not that part, given there's quite a few Optimus Primals mentioned on that page alone. I think that it'd be a bit confusing for people to click a link, only to be like "Now which one is the one that this refers to?", and also time consuming to have to figure that out. However, I'm not sure if that's how the wiki "works", per-se. Beetle Bug (talk) 18:22, 13 August 2021 (EDT)

I am not of the impression you're a moderator, but I wanted to reinforce as an aside what I said about Escargon on the talkpage for Wheelie. Someone who is so ready to cuss out a new member just because they don't agree with them is probably not what you want to be seen to unconditionally approve of or equivocate with someone who was just here to express an alternative take to the apparent consensus. First time I've had someone swear at me on a wiki. Just wanted to share this with you; food for thought. --NOISEMAZE (talk) 12:50, 21 March 2022 (EDT)

Everything you have said since has given my the impression that all you're really here to do is stir up trouble. I'll apologize for swearing at you, if nothing else I shouldn't have gone that far and I'll admit that, but your initial edits here don't exactly come across as being genuine. ==Additions to Design Flaws Page==
Your additions to the Design flaw page need some serious paring down since they're kind of a disorganized wall of text at the moment.  I'd suggest ditching the "Pin Joint" section entirely since you're talking about a random factory error, not a design flaw.  Pointing out that current figures are testing grounds for cost-cutting (ie spring-less ratchet joints) has serious merit, though.  I figured I'd give you a heads up instead of brutalizing it myself.MCRG (talk) 23:21, 14 October 2023 (EDT)
: I took another pass at it, and tried a different approach to the layout. I've also left it open for other people to add other examples of poorly designed joints that I can't think of off the top of my head.
: I should probably take some pictures of the little broken pieces I have lying around in a baggy somewhere with a comparison of the intact piece, just to help with the visual aspect, especially for the readers who have never taken a toy apart, and can't picture what I've attempted to describe. -- Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 07:51, 15 October 2023 (EDT)
Check Your Camera Settings
I've been backtracking through Beast Wars toyline pages and almost all of your pictures are waaaay too bright and the colors are very oversaturated compared to the actual figures.  This is especially a case on any figures with yellows, greens, or tans.  I'm not reverting these back since they're all more clear than what they replaced, but for future pictures, you really need to check your camera settings, stop using whatever automated tweak you might be doing in Photoshop, or whatever's happening here.MCRG (talk) 20:55, 31 March 2025 (EDT)

The information I added was his in game bio. Do we have to put in game bio's in past tense? Bergen08 (talk) 01:23, 7 November 2021 (EST)

Given that it was written like a normal piece of fiction, I think it makes sense to, just going by our style guide. Also, you didn't copy it whole hog from the game, did you? Because it would need rewriting/tweaking if it was copied. -- Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 01:33, 7 November 2021 (EST)

Someone who is so ready to cuss out a new member just because they don't agree with them is probably not what you want to be seen to unconditionally approve of or equivocate with someone who was just here to express an alternative take to the apparent consensus. Additions to Design Flaws Page

[edit]

Your additions to the Design flaw page need some serious paring down since they're kind of a disorganized wall of text at the moment. I'd suggest ditching the "Pin Joint" section entirely since you're talking about a random factory error, not a design flaw. Pointing out that current figures are testing grounds for cost-cutting (ie spring-less ratchet joints) has serious merit, though. I figured I'd give you a heads up instead of brutalizing it myself.MCRG (talk) 23:21, 14 October 2023 (EDT)

I took another pass at it, and tried a different approach to the layout. I've also left it open for other people to add other examples of poorly designed joints that I can't think of off the top of my head.
I should probably take some pictures of the little broken pieces I have lying around in a baggy somewhere with a comparison of the intact piece, just to help with the visual aspect, especially for the readers who have never taken a toy apart, and can't picture what I've attempted to describe. -- Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 07:51, 15 October 2023 (EDT)
