This article is about the mall security drones. For the law enforcement drones sometimes referred to as "Security Bots", see police drone.
"May I see your identification badge please?"

The security bots are state-of-the-art automated security drones designed to keep the mall safe from intruders. They do this using built-in, high powered laser beams capable of tremendous destruction.

Why a shopping mall would even need that level of security is up for debate.

"Do not make any sudden moves."

After Dave was fired from his position as the night security guard at the mall, the three security bots were brought in to replace him. When they encountered the Lost Bots celebrating with no humans to hide from, the security bots identified them as vermin and began firing on them, causing the Lost Bots to flee. The security bots then scoured the rest of the mall, blasting away at the panicking BotBots.

Each of the various squads made different attempts to disable the security bots. The Jock Squad fired themselves from a pitching machine to knock the bots down, but they simply righted themselves and continued their patrol. The Gamer Geeks tried to rewire them, but the security bots detected the hack and activated electric countermeasures. Investigating the security bots' manual, the Lost Bots discovered that the master mall security code could shut them down. As Dave was the only person they knew who would have the code, they called his mom and got in touch with him, giving him a fake story about how he needed to come to the mall that night to pick up his "donut of service".

Spud Muffin and the Hunger Hubs suspended a bunch of shopping carts from the ceiling, releasing them to knock the security bots into the fountain. However, the bots quickly emerged in their emergency defense mode, spraying lasers at the gathered BotBots who scrambled for cover. Arriving at that moment, Dave witnessed the damage the security bots were doing to the mall and decided it was his civilian duty to stop them. After initially confronting the security bots and almost being blasted, Dave realized that using his years of living statue practice could make him invisible to the robots' motion detectors. Getting in close, he jumped on one of the security bots and entered the mall's master security code, shutting them all down.

Thanks to an anonymous video of his heroics being sent to his boss, the security bots were removed and Dave was rehired as the night security guard. Shopping Brawl

They feature a similar overall design with tank treads, and laser blasting visors. They even use the main catchphrase the Protector units give after attacking, "Have a nice day".
  • A unique icon appears on the map as the security bots roam the mall.
