TwinBee (ツインビー Tsuinbī) is a living anthropomorphic starfighter. He and his partner Annamon, the boy who currently pilots him, come from the alien world Soltias, where everything is sentient. He was once called upon by planet Mel's princess Melora to retake the Sky Fortress from the evil Iva and save her people.
TwinBee normally fights with his fists, but he can use his piko piko hammer to summon a special bell which is randomly one of four colors. Each color produces a different effect in battle after a few moments: blue creates hearts, red produces a vertical laser, green causes an explosion, and yellow damages whoever it touches.
