KSI Widow is a Decepticon from the Age of Extinction portion of the live-action film continuity family.

Created as a marketable drone robot by KSI, KSI Widow turns into an orange McLaren MP4-12C and was "freed" by Galvatron to become part of his new army. No, she is not French.

The McLaren was one of a number of drones created by KSI, using salvaged supplies of transformium from the remains of deceased Transformers recycled into raw materials. The McLaren drone was commandeered by Galvatron and was present in a convoy of his forces as they crossed a bridge and proceeded deeper into Hong Kong to track down the Seed, although there was no sign of the robot when the Decepticons subsequently engaged the Autobots in the city. Part of the 29th wave of Studio Series Deluxe Class figures, "Concept Art KSI Widow" transforms into a licensed McLaren MP4-12C as seen in Age of Extinction. She includes two forearm-mounted blasters can be stored on the inside of her doors in robot mode or inside her legs in vehicle mode. Unlike most other Studio Series Deluxe cars, Widow avoids having a large kibble backpack by incorporating most of her car parts into into her calves in a manner similar to the second Prime Vehicon Deluxe toy (both made by the same designer, in fact!). She also uses separate clear plastic parts for all her windows, a rarity for the time. Her thigh panels can slide out to accommodate her full knee bend.

Her robot design most closely resembles Steve Jung's "Weapons" concept art (see "Gallery" below), while her blasters originate from a different one of his concepts. Widow's package art (at the top of the page) retains the Pagani Huayra parts from those concept arts, though her abdomen is drawn closer to Jung's "Update 2" design.

Widow's driver's side A-pillar is missing a molded line by the top edge of the windshield that the passenger side has. Some copies of figure have loose hip ball joints. Hasbro's stock photos have an oddly desaturated orange instead of her actual vibrant, metallic shade. Her product description also mentions a "chain" accessory that isn't included, potentially a dropped idea also based on the "Weapons" art.

Smooth as silk

• The McLaren is part of a quartet of vehicles, alongside an Aston Martin and two Lamborghinis, who appear in several brief shots of Galvatron's forces in vehicle mode, but for whom no robot mode was seemingly ever designed, meaning they effectively disappear from the film once the Decepticons enter combat. This is likely due to the prop vehicles being privately-owned cars borrowed by the film production solely for the Hong Kong location shoot, as opposed to being pre-planned, specially-prepared product placement vehicles, which is the more typical scenario for the live-action film series.
• Over a decade later in 2025, the Studio Series toy paired the McLaren with the unused "Widow Maker" concept design, effectively retconning them into being one and the same, and officially naming her "KSI Widow". Initial leaked listings for the figure used the full concept name of "Widow Maker"; this was presumably changed to avoid confusion or trademark issues with the Overwatch character.
• "Widow Maker" was originally developed as the robot mode for the Pagani Huayra, which would eventually be given to Stinger instead.
• "Widow Maker" sported many, many different designs during the concept stages, primarily done by artists Steve Jung and Vitaly Bulgarov. Various features across her concept designs included: a more human-looking body with less vehicle kibble, a more alien head design with a crest, and numerous different weapon options such as an extendable arm flail, forearm blasters, a scorpion-like tail, and energy swords.
