Punch was first on the scene with Mini Spy, who gave him an exclusive eyewitness account and footage of the Autobots Skyfall and Zetar meeting up with the "surprisingly handsome" Decepticon Counterpunch near Iacon.
Mini-Spy then looked forward to getting an energon payment from Punch for some reason... Around Cybertron #4
When the news hit that the Decepticons were causing trouble, Rook turned things over to Punch to get the scoop on the situation. Unfortunately, it turned out that while Punch had been undercover, he had received a better offer from their rival DBN anchors. Punch felt bad about abandoning Rook to Andromeda, but having a new boss that praised his employees (unlike his crabby old boss) was too good for Punch to pass up. Around Cybertron #8
Despite his change of allegiance, Punch naturally caught some suspicion from the positive universe Cliffjumper. Solar Requiem
