The tech-spec for the 1995 Laser Rod Optimus Prime toy described a showdown in "sector 17 of the Mirtonian constellation", apparently a reference to the planet "Mirtonia", home planet of an alien named Carcass from the G.I. Joe toyline the year before. The showdown itself (in turn) appears to have served as inspiration for the events of the Japanese G-2 pack-in comic.
