Fleming is a facsimile construct from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Flemham

Fleming was created by Bludgeon, Iguanus, and Bomb-Burst in 1984 to infiltrate a human drilling company. Presumably, there was once also a human being called Fleming who was used as his template.

Fiction

2005 IDW continuity

Fleming and his apparent superior Markham discovered a seam of Regenesis ore beneath the dig site in Eden, Texas. Reporting back to Bludgeon, they were instructed to deploy plasma-density charges near a pocket of natural gas, causing an explosion that would clear the site and allow the Thunderwing cultists to take as much of the ore as they needed. Fleming was presumably decommissioned afterwards. Spotlight: Soundwave

Notes

  • It's not made clear which of the facsimiles is Fleming, but he is on the left when Bludgeon calls their names.
