Galvatron isn't gonna let some ice stop him.
Synopsis
In 2011, Galvatron was buried in Earth's Arctic's ice by the power of the Autobot Headmasters...
Ten years later, Cyclonus is at Galvatron's grave, musing about how his former leader sought to create a a new body for himself out of parts of the greatest Decepticon warriors. But Galvatron stirs beneath the ice, surprising Cyclonus with his promise to see his dream of becoming Grand Galvatron realized one way or another. With beams from his eyes, his soul transfers over to Cyclonus, granting his minion a new body at the same time. As a head attached to Cyclonus's torso, he orders a trip to the Triple Z Point, where he plans to use his former master, Unicron, as parts for his new body.
At the ruins of Unicron's body, they find Unicron's head, where Galvatron reveals his intentions. Not finding the prospect of being Galvatron's puppet appealing, Unicron offers another option: gathering powerful and malicious Transformers from across the multiverse to serve as components to Grand Galvatron. With his power, Unicron resurrects and brings forth Zombie War Breakdown and Curse Armada Thrust. Also brought to this universe is Wandering Roller, an Autobot with much resentment towards his comrades.
Starscream's ghost pops up in the nick of time, begging for a new body, a wish which Unicron obliges... but only halfway. Starscream is stuck with a ghostly form, to assure he does not inevitably betray Galvatron. His new troops assembled, Unicron orders the five to conquer Cybertron so it can become his new body. Galvatron silently has his own plans to claim the planet for his own dominion and forms Grand Galvatron with his five underlings. With this new form, he sets out for conquest.

Notes
Continuity notes
- Galvatron was sealed in ice in the Headmasters episode "The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg" (his plans for Grand Galvatron were also revealed in that episode). He'll eventually be permanently freed from the iceberg in the Return of Convoy story pages.
- By 2021, Unicron's head has been moved to the Triple Z Point, where it is located in the Beast Wars Neo cartoon (as seen in the episode "Fight! Maximals"). This is in agreement with the previous TakaraTomy timeline that established Unicron's head being sealed there in 2010.
- Unicron is depicted as still having the eyes of Metroplex and Trypticon that were given to him in "Ghost in the Machine".
- Unicron only restores Starscream's body halfway, citing his betrayal in the episode "Ghost in the Machine" as the reason for his distrust.
- Unicron's desire to turn Cybertron into his new body likewise originates from "Ghost in the Machine", but he'll eventually achieve that goal (albeit momentarily) in the Beast Wars Neo episode "The Final Battle"
