- Orchid Crossing is a spacestation operated by the Solstar Order from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Orbiting the planet Xetaxxis, Orchid Crossing is a massive space station owned and operated by the Solstar Order. One of the many outposts and command hubs utilized in the war against the Dire Wraiths, it can hold an impressive amount of spacecraft and is large enough to allow Cybertronians to move about freely.
Fiction
IDW Generation 1 continuity
After a training cruise at Mining Colony 25-6-41, a group of Space Knights docked at Orchid Crossing. Later on, Rom and Livia explained to Stardrive that the station would play host to a diplomatic meeting between the Order and the Galactic Council to allow the Knights safe passage into Council territory with Stardrive herself acting as proof that the Solstar Order was capable of controlling Cybertronians.
The next morning, a Council delegation arrived and was quick to shed its disguise revealing themselves to be a Dire Wraith/Decepticon alliance. Taking the Knights by surprise, the invaders murdered members of the Solstar Order with impunity as Starscream made his way to Stardrive's energon synthesizer (using Stardrive to break down a wall). Rom tried to get them to stand down but none of the Cybertronians so much at glanced at him. Shining Armor #1
