Project Nightbridge is a clandestine plan enacted by Douglas Porter to get revenge on his father, Alexander Porter, for not showing him enough affection. Said plan involves alliances with homicidal alien robot warriors who have been locked in a war for millions of years, and ancient Cybertronian trans-spacial porting cylinders. This is what happens when you don't hug your children enough.

[edit]Preparations for the project included two operations involving the Decepticons. The first involved Dropshot, Bombshock and Tracer attacking the Nevada Test and Training Range while Simon Clay monitored them. The second involved Reverb trying to secure a Cybertronian cylinder. Though both attacks failed, Stealth Leader obtained enough information from them to start the project. Switching Gears
A second attempt to secure a cylinder, this time from a vault in Battle Mountain, also failed, though Porter still had the footage of the cylinder activating near Hawthorne Army Depot. Battle Mountain Douglas again tried to have Reverb capture the Battle Mountain cylinder when it was being transported between locations. When his father suffered a serious injury at the hands of the Decepticon, Douglas realized the error of his ways, and turned all of the project data over to NEST. Satellite of Doom
