Paul Buckly and his partner Joe Torres accompanied Franklin Townsend and Spike Witwicky to Hugo Fortuna's home in Virgina, where they oversaw Fortuna's interrogation.
While Townsend and Spike investigated Fortuna's basement, Fortuna and Paul were both killed. Joe Buckley claimed Fortuna was killed by Paul, who said saying "God may forgive you, but I won't." before killing himself.
Spike strongly suspected that Joe Torres has in fact killed both men, but Torres' subsequent death left the matter unresolved. Hardwired
