- The Mega Striker is a weapon from the live-action film continuity family.
The Mega Striker is a ranged weapon used by Optimus Prime when he is in gunfights but doesn't want to use the Ion blaster.
Fiction
Dark of the Moon film
After the Autobots arrived in Chicago, Optimus used the Mega Striker to save Sam, Epps and a team of former NEST soldiers from a Decepticon ship, before the pilot was killed by the Wreckers. The gun was used again to hold off an oncoming attack from Devcon, allowing the Autobots to escape the building they were being pinned down in. Dark of the Moon
Age of Extinction film
When Optimus suddenly awoke after a live missile was removed from his rusty cab form, he threatened Cade, Tessa and Lucas, with his Mega Blaster, hitting the latter over the head with his "ten foot cannon". He then used it to defend the Yeager family when the CIA taskforce, Cemetery Wind, showed up on their property looking for the Autobot leader. Optimus would continue to use it during the ensuing chase to defend himself against Lockdown. After Optimus' upgrade, the gun was used again as the Autobots stormed KSI's headquarters in Chicago. - Striker Optimus includes two guns, the "Eliminator Gun" and "Assault Blaster", which combine into the "Mega Striker". The separate guns also have a MechTech-style transformation, and pulling a lever transforms them into alternate crossbow-like shapes. In "battle vehicle mode", the sides of the truck are rotated up, and the guns can be attached by small pegs to holes in the modified smokestacks, or they can plugged into any of the standard connection points with their 5mm posts... except the ones on the hinge behind the cab, since those are supposed to be for his Dual Energon Swords.
