Released as part of a San Diego Comic-Con 2017 exclusive set, Gammatron is a small non-articulated bipedal insectoid robot figurine released as one of the nine tiny non-articulated Micronauts mini-figures, along with Acroyear, Quin-Tillus, Phenolo-Phi, Baron Karza, Oberon, Xant, Baron Karza, Biotron, and Betatron.

They were packed with several other Hasbro Universe action figures: Jetfire, Matt Trakker of M.A.S.K., Action Man, Visionaries' Leoric, Roadblock of G.I. Joe, and Rom and a Dire Wraith.

Gammatron is named for one of the original Micronauts toys from the late 1970s, though it looks nothing like that toy in the slightest.
