Phenolo-Phi grew up on Qwin Primary, the daughter of a famous artist and a military engineer. When Baron Karza's Ministry of Defense attacked her planet as part of the Microspace-spanning civil war, her parents were both killed on a tour of her father's research station. Phen survived the initial attack before stealing a prototype glider suit her father had designed and escaping. Phenolo-Phi left Qwin behind and slummed it on Lomaari Station, where she eventually met Oziron Rael, Acroyear, and Microtron. With nowhere else to go, Phenolo-Phi joined the Micronauts aboard the starship Heliopolis. Phenolo-Phi profile in Revolution #5

While Scarlett expressed her worry about what other forces could appear on Earth following Optimus Prime's activities, Phen and the other Micronauts were in the middle of a battle. Secret Raiders

After flying the Heliopolis into the Entropy Cloud in an attempt to both save their universe and escape Baron Karza, the Micronauts were attacked by Reptos, a species previously thought destroyed by the cloud. Phen helped Oz Rael and Larissa fight off the Reptos until the crew was saved by the mysterious Time Traveler. While the rest of the crew remained mystified as the Time Traveler disappeared, Phen worried about getting the ship flying again.

Several days into their journey, while tracking a mysterious energy source, the Micronauts received a message from Baron Karza. Karza told them that though it had only been a few days for them inside the storm, years had passed for him after he followed them into the cloud. The Micronauts soon arrived at the location of the energy source, or as Karza called it, the birthplace of Microspace: the body of Micronus Prime. Micronauts: Revolution Karza explained to the Micronauts that Micronus's body contained a gateway to another universe, through which he had been transporting an alien mineral that could counteract the effects of the entropy cloud. The process was extremely slow, however, and to save their home Karza told the Micronauts that he would need their assistance. Though unsure if they could trust their old nemesis, the Micronauts received an unexpected visitor: a chrono-walking Time Traveler, who urged then to travel through the bridge. Before they could reach a consensus, chunks of Ore-13 emerged from the space bridge and began detonating around them. Before the portal could close forever, Oziron flew their ship through the spacebridge portal...

... and emerged on Earth, inside the spacebridge chamber of the Titan Metrotitan. Confused by their colossal surroundings, Phenolo wondered how they could communicate with the native life forms. Before they could get far, they were intercepted by Snake-Eyes, whom they confused for a giant Karza robot. O Ship of State

The ensuing battle between the ninja and the tiny aliens drew the attention of Arcee, who joined the fight. They were cut short by Optimus Prime, Soundwave, and Windblade, Soundwave creating a shockwave to forcibly pacify the combatants. Windblade recognized the Micronauts from her own journey into Microspace. The visiting Rom—responsible for the Ore-13 explosion—apologized to the tiny visitors for his actions; though unable to understand his language, the Micronauts decided they liked the Space Knight. When Miles Mayhem, supported by the forces of M.A.S.K. and the Dire Wraiths laid siege to Autobot City, the Micronauts, aboard their vessel, joined the fight. The New Colossus

Faced with a gigantic, dimensionally-displaced Karza, the Micronauts joined up with Soundwave, Rom, Mainframe, and Matt Trakker, "enerchanging" with Metrotitan's spacebridge and allowing the other heroes to force the Baron back into Microspace. The Micronauts survived the explosion that marked the Baron's defeat, but awoke later on to find that they had been captured by human scientists. Valley Forge

After escaping captivity and embarking on a series of adventures of their own, the Micronauts encountered Kup and G.B. Blackrock at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle, believing they might know something about the mysterious "Talisman". Though still jumpy from their recent escapades, Kup managed to ease tensions by using the universal greeting to communicate with Biotron. Larissa realized that she knew the device from somewhere; using the Heliopolis's sensors, the team of Micronauts and Cybertronians tracked the Talisman to the Moon, where they encountered Action Man being held hostage by Baron Ironblood and Doctor X. The heroes managed to see off the villains and retrieve the Talisman, and the Micronauts returned to Earth. Enter the Shadow
