Power Core Combiners
- Heavytread with Groundspike (Commander Class, 2011)
- Known designers: Eric Siebenaler (Hasbro), Shogo Hasui (TakaraTomy)
- Part of the fourth wave of Power Core Combiners Commander Class figures, Groundspike is only available with his larger partner Heavytread. He transforms from robot to a large claw weapon for Heavytread to wield in robot mode or a mine plow for his tank mode. He also has an "armor" mode that connects to a Commander's chest- or back-mounted Powerlinx plug for use in either of their robot modes.
- Wave 4 only barely made it out to normal retail at first, meaning most fans had to get him from online stores. At the back end of 2011, the later Power Core Combiners started showing up at discount chains.
- This mold was also used to make Blowpipe, United EX Wheezel, and Generations Daniel Witwicky.
- Power Core Combiners Value Pack (Value Pack, 2011)
- Heavytread and Groundspike were made more readily available at retail as part of a Walmart-exclusive Black Friday "Value Pack", combining a 5-pack team with a Commander 2-pack via packaging tape and a couple of stickers.
- Heavytread has been found attached to the Stakeout/Protectobots and Steamhammer/Constructicons sets.
