Notes

  • The Beastformer Green Rayfer is named after the Grim Reaper.
  • In Japan, a shinigami is any sort of death deity, but the term is also in use for the Grim Reaper specifically. The context informs which meaning is relevant and if the shinigami has a scythe, it's specifically the Grim Reaper.
  • According to "Recover the Bonds Lost!", Apache has earned himself the nickname Aoi Shinigami (青い死神) due to the destruction he is capable of. Aoi Shinigami literally means "Blue God of Death" but, keeping the American influences in mind, in English is best represented by "Blue Reaper".
