Bringing his offering of fruit to the temple for the Sky Gods, Scrawney was rebuked by Jero for the amount of fruit he had offered. Perhaps fortunately for him, the ceremony was interrupted by an attack by Talaria and her band of rebels. That night, as the Titans sat around the fire, Talaria tried to convince them that the Sky Gods were false, but Scrawney clung to his belief in the Sky Gods. A belief which seemed vindicated when, a short time later, a real Sky God crashed to the ground nearby. Unfortunately this was soon followed by the arrival of Astrotrain, Starscream and Thrust, who posed as Sky Gods and enslaved everyone.
He and two other Titans encountered Jazz and Perceptor in the Fire God's lair and asked to be destroyed, as the Transformers had destroyed their faith. The two Autobots maintained that the Decepticons had been lying to them. Indeed, once the Decepticons had been routed, they triggered a chain reaction in the energy crystals. Scrawney, along with the rest of the Titans, was whisked to safety by Omega Supreme and began rebuilding their city at a new location. The God Gambit
