The name Prowl has been applied to several Transformers characters.

• 1984 — Prowl the Autobot police car (and later Maximal lion) from Generation 1.

• 1999 — Prowl II the Maximal Transmetal 2 owl from Beast Wars.

• 2000 — Prowl the Autobot police car and brother to Side Burn and X-Brawn from Robots in Disguise.

• 2003 — Prowl the Emergency Mini-Con Team police car/pistol from Armada. A possibly-alternate-universe version of this Prowl is the partner to Magna Stampede and Stockade from Universe.

• 2003 — Prowl the Micromaster Protectobot police car and chest to Defensor from Universe.

• 2004 — Prowl the Autobot Cybertronic police vehicle from Energon.

• ???? — Prowl the Autobot Spy Changer fire chief's car from Universe.

• 2008 — Prowl the Autobot motorcycle from Transformers Animated.

• 2008 — Prowl the Autobot from the Movie continuity.

Not to be confused with

• ???? — Prowl-Bot the Go-Bot police car.

The Robots in Disguise toy sold as "Prowl 2" is almost certainly the same character as the original RiD Prowl, listed under the year 2000, above.
