They're part of the same continuity as the Japanese version of Reptron.

Category?
A brief discussion with Blitz upon realizing that Rescue Roy fell under exactly NO categories without considering his Japanese release in their Go-Bots line... it was suggested we allow an exception to our "minimum for a category" rule and give 1-2-3 Transformers its own category, since it IS its own franchise.
