The name or term "Sedan" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Sedan (disambiguation).
Sedan is an Optimus from the Estrela portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Sedan is a member of the heroic Optimus, who fight against the evil Malignus robots.

The toys from the Brazilian sub-series commonly referred to as "Optimus vs. Malignus" do not have bios, but share the same names and molds as previous (factionless) Brazilian releases that used the same bios as their Hasbro counterparts, only in Portuguese... except for Sedan, who has his own unique bio. As such, it's possible that Optimus Sedan is basically Robocar Sedan, if not the same character outright.

Generation 1

  • Sedan (Mini Vehicle, 1985)
A redeco of the Mini Vehicle Bumper, Sedan transforms into a "penny-racer"-proportioned "Familia 1500XG". He was released only in Brazil by Estrela, and was available in two different color schemes: light green or yellow. He also has a new "Optimus" faction sigil decal in robot mode.
All of the "Optimus/Malignus" Mini Vehicle releases are considered fairly rare, and go for a fairly high price on the secondary market, particularly the secondary color schemes. Since the mold itself did not have a proper US release at all and is considerably difficult to obtain, the fact that the Optimus' secondary color is the same as the only US version of the mold kinda-sorta balances out demand.
This mold was also used to make the "Robocar" Sedan.
