Courage might be Jake's most important asset as leader of the Animorphs, but his Saber Claws come in as a close second, accessible while he is in his tiger morph. One of the features these claws from the run-of-the-mill tiger's is that they appear to include thumbs.
Toys
- Jake/Tiger (Deluxe, 1999)
- Accessories: Left paw, right paw
- Part of the first wave of Animorphs toys, Jake transforms from a really unconvincing human into a tiger, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. His tiger mode front claws, dubbed "Saber Claws," are separate pieces that attach like gloves.
- This toy was retooled and redecoed to create Ax/Panther (the only retool in the line).
