The series adheres for the most part with cartoon continuity and would most easily fit during season 1. One piece of continuity that contradicts this, and which is mentioned prominently in several of the books is Bulkhead's interest in art, which was not developed until the season 2 episode "Headmaster". Conflicting with this is the fact that a major arc of that season was Isaac Sumdac's disappearance at the hands of the Decepticons, while in Web of Deception Sumdac is at liberty and still inventing technology, and Sari still appears to be living apart from the Autobots in all of her appearances.

Be the Hero is a series of Transformers Animated multipath adventures published by HarperCollins Publishers in 2008. The four books in the series were written by established authors Colin Brake and Richard Dungworth.

Continuity

The series adheres for the most part with cartoon continuity. Given that Web of Deception notes that Isaac Sumdac is at liberty and still inventing technology, and Sari still appears to be living apart from the Autobots in all of her appearances, the books would logically predate the second season of the cartoon (in which Sumdac was captured by Megatron). However, several of the books make mention of Bulkhead's interest in art, which was not developed until the late first season episode "Headmaster", leaving only a rather small window between that episode and "Megatron Rising - Part 1" for the books to take place in.
