- Failsafe is a Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Failsafe is true credit to the Green Mini-Con Team. Bright-eyed and resolute, he's ready to take on any challenge at any time, no matter the odds. His older brother, the slacker Flashbang, finds this attitude hilarious, and would probably laugh at Failsafe between handfuls of nachos if Mini-Cons could eat nachos.[1]

One of many power-enhancing Mini-Cons scattered across Earth, Failsafe's Mini-Con storage panel was found atop the mountain the Autobots had scaled from the inside with the aid of Highjump in Alaska.
