MechTech is a subsection of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon toyline.
It includes the Deluxe, Voyager, Leader and Ultimate class, and some of the Human Alliance toys. Its main gimmick revolves around huge transformable weapons that attach to both vehicle and robot mode via 5mm posts.

MechTech Weapon Prize Campaign
Campaign to start on May 14 2011, to be handed out at various Japanese retailers based upon the amount spent purchasing Dark of the Moon toys.
- Tritanium Heat Blade Claw (Gold Crankcase MechTech weapon) - Toys"R"Us Japan exclusive, available by spending 3000 yen or more in Dark of the Moon toys.
- Tritanium Power Saw (Gold Autobot Ratchet MechTech weapon) - Joshin Kidsland, Bic Camera and Edion Group (Ishimaru, Deo Deo, Eiden and Midori Denka) exclusive, available by spending 3000 yen or more in Dark of the Moon toys.
- Tritanium Plasma Double Bullet (Gold Autobot Skids MechTech weapon) - Yamada denki and Yodobashi Camera exclusive, available by spending 3000 yen or more in Dark of the Moon toys.
- Cybertitanium Power Saw (Silver Autobot Ratchet MechTech weapon) - Eon exclusive, available with purchase of Voyager class Optimus Prime with trailer.
TakaraTomy
Beginning May 14 and ending July 31 2011, Japanese consumers who enter two barcode numbers from MechTech character cards (packed with Japanese Dark of the Moon figures) into the TakaraTomy Transformers website will be in the running for:
- Prize A: Tritanium Bumblebee (limited to 10)
- Prize C: Tritanium blade MechTech weapon (limited to 100)
There will be two more Lucky Draw campaigns from August 2011 onwards, and entering all three campaigns will put one in the running for:
- Tritanium Optimus Prime (with trailer) (limited to 100)
