Gul, Noji, Zamu and Gra had the Micron studio, with Gul taking command over the couch and declaring himself sub-leader of the Decepticon Arms Micron division. He got snippy with the other three for not shutting up and respecting his sub-leadership, but then Gora's voice boomed through the room, scaring them all... Phantom Transformation! Mind-Diving Offended, Gul began complaining loudly and at length about the interruption, not realizing that Gora was right behind him. Gora promptly taught the bird-bot a lesson in shutting up by having the other Arms Micron form the Energon Sniper Combo Weapon and blasting him with it. Counterattack Transformation! The Resurrection of Megatron!

Though Starscream ultimately gave up on trying to overthrow Megatron, Gul had no qualms about continuing his attempts to do the same to Gora. However, as he was aiming his gun-mode at his leader, Gora pointed out that he'd stopped being leader while Gul was away, though the new leader was in the room with them. Assuming he meant Zori, Gul saw the scorpion transform into weapon mode and fled for his life, unaware that Gora had just tricked him. Blackest Transformation! The Shadow of Treachery During the final showdown between the Matrix Saber and Dark Energon Saber, Hellflame Gul helped his Decepticon comrades out as part of the Solar Ion Arrow. The Reviving of Planet Cybertron On the final episode of Arms Micron Theater, Gul and the rest of the Arms Microns got together to say goodbye to their audience one last time. - Available only with his larger partner Starscream in Japan, Gul comes as an unassembled, unpainted "kit". He transforms from an eagle-robot into a bladed plasma cannon. He is covered in 5mm posts and holes as part of the Arms Micron gimmick, allowing him to combine with other Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous "Combo Weapons" and "Super Combo Weapons".

- A clear-red version of Gul was given away as a campaign bonus with the purchase of Megatron Darkness at AEON stores on that toy's release date, July 28 of 2012. This version is almost completely devoid of stickers, having only the small faction symbol sticker that goes under his Energon Crystal.
- In Japan, "ion", his Energon Crystal type, is pronounced the same as "eon", and the store he was available at is "AEON", pronounced "eon"....

- Continuing the trend of Arms Microns getting weirdass names that are really hard to intuitively Romanize, Gul's name is pronounced as you would the last syllable in "eagle".
