Fossil Bluff Station is a Federation of Western Europe installation in Antarctica. From this base, scientists study the frozen continent and the plundering of Antarctica's oil fields is coordinated. It has a sealed airstrip.
Fiction
Battle Beneath the Ice
Dr Grey was based at Fossil Bluff Station. When a discovery was made in one of the oil fields, he rushed off to investigate. Jeff Grey, Bill Gordon and Neil Travers later arrived by boat for a visit, and the staff passed on a note saying where Dr Grey had gone. A short time later, a plane bringing scientists and military personnel down from the USA stopped off at the station, allowing the trio to hitch a ride to the site. Battle Beneath the Ice
