An Ursagryph is a mythological creature that is half-bear and half-falcon.

- According to a statement at Toyfare 2013, the Ursagryph is toy designer Lenny Panzica's favorite mythological creature, and the design basis of Grimwing, and thus that of Darksteel and Budora as well. The ursagryph is so wildly obscure that you're unlikely to find a non-Transformers mention of it without diving deep into Google, which is probably why Hasbro felt the need to make the statement.
