Stratego is a two-player board game that humans have created to simulate warfare between two opposing armies for their entertainment. Although superfluously similar to chess in this respect, there are significant differences between the two, most notably that both players' pieces have each a function that is hidden from the opposing player. Each player's goal is to capture their opponent's "flag" piece before their own flag is captured.

Merchandise

  • Transformers Stratego (2007)

A variation of the Stratego board game was released as tie-in merchandise for the 2007 Transformers film. Naturally, one player plays as the Decepticons, while his opponent takes charge of the Autobots. Both factions also employ human allies.
