Oregon is one of the states that make up the United States of America. It may be prone to attacks by that big green, fire-snortin' lizard... as well as massive battles involving giant robots.

IDW Transformers movie comics
The Initiative relocated their mobile base to Crater Lake during the final stages of Project Nefarious. Soundwave tracked their vehicles heading up Highway 62 and notified NEST. A battle ensued between NEST and the Transformers brainwashed by the Initiative, Nefarious #5 however when the battle tipped in the attackers' favor, the AllSpark being created by the Initiative became unstable and was in danger of destroying Oregon and the rest of Earth. Luckily Fortress disposed of it in time. Nefarious #6
