All 1986 combiner teams were again available in 1987. The individual combiners and the Throttlebots were available with or without a decoy figure.
Autobots
Metroplex, Rodimus Prime, Wreck-Gar, Ultra Magnus, Sky Lynx, and the Rewind/Steeljaw and Ramhorn/Eject mini-cassette two-packs were all re-released. Optimus Prime, Wheeljack, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Cosmos, Warpath and "Cliffjumper" were available via mail order.
S.T.A.R.S.
- March 31 — The Omnibots become unavailable via mail-order. In the S.T.A.R.S. flyer "You Have Been Chosen.," it is explained that they are leaving Earth to fight a war in another universe on that day.
