Fan Built Bots are characters created by Hasbro by polling fandom. Thus far two sets of polls have been held, resulting in the creation of a single bot, Windblade, in 2013 and a combiner, Victorion, in 2015.

Windblade obtained a toy in the 10th wave of Deluxe-class Generations toys; she also starred in a 4-issue miniseries from IDW Publishing, which was later revived as an ongoing series.

Due to the character's popularity, a different incarnation of Windblade is also featured in the Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon, with an episode focused on her.

The second set of poll was announced on January 15, 2015, this time to create a whole new combiner. The polling was done via the Transformers mobile app. The first set of polls began on January 25. Each limb was voted on individually.
