- General Austin is a member of G.I. Joe from the G.I. Joe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
This character or person needs some sort of visual representation. If you have one, please replace this.
General "Iron Butt" Austin works alongside General Flagg, advising him on his missions with G.I. Joe. He has been described as Destro's opposite. Hopefully, that doesn't mean he has a literal "iron butt" in contrast to Destro's own metal helm.

The Decepticons' evil intentions soon became apparent, and Soundwave took Hawk, Lady Jaye and Flash captive. General Austin bemoaned that they were to be the first casualties in the "space war" to come, as an orbital defense satellite was being primed to fire a Coltonbolt down onto the Cybertronians. Thankfully, and despite General Austin writing them off, all of the Joes were able to safely escape the satellite's kill zone as it roasted the Decepticon to death. I Saw Three Ships
