The Terrorcons begin the conflict anew.

Synopsis

The Unicron Battles were over. Victory had been assured against the Chaos Bringer, though it came at the cost of hundreds of Autobots, and the life of the Decepticon leader Megatron. Since that day, ten years had passed. Optimus had since been found, after being left floating adrift in space. The Decepticons had been absorbed into Autobot society. Transformers and humans now worked together exploring the cosmos. Cybertronian technology had enabled the creation of bases on the Moon, Mars, and in the Asteroid belt. All was peaceful... Until, within Unicron's shattered remains, Alpha Quintesson awakened. Understanding that his new master hungered for Energon, Alpha Quintesson unleashed hordes of Terrorcons to seek out the fuel.

On Earth, Kicker was giving Demolishor, the guard of Ocean City, grief. The boy had surfaced the entire city without permission, and was now taking a joyride on his motorcycle. Hot Shot intervened, and though he put a halt to Kicker's joyride, he had little more luck talking sense into the boy.

Elsewhere, in Asteroid City, Tidal Wave stood guard. A swarm of Terrorcons began their approach on the settlement, opening fire as they encroached. Elsewhere still, Optimus Prime was training the young Autobot Ironhide on Cybertron. Rad interrupted their session to inform them of the situation in Asteroid City. Back on Earth, Kicker's mysterious sense of precognition alerted him of an incoming threat. Taking Hot Shot along with him, Kicker headed out to meet the threat as it approached. Both Kicker and Hot Shot, as well as Demolishor, soon found themselves overrun by Terrorcons. But Autobot reinforcements arrived via the Space Bridge in the form of Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Inferno and Ironhide. The battle between the Autobots and the new intruders began in full. Using his Prime Force drones, Optimus managed to thin out the Terrorcons significantly. Optimus then picked off the last remaining members of the enemy force, giving Kicker a protective suit in the process.

The next day, Alexis informed the citizens of Ocean City that the other Cyber Cities, on Mars and in the Asteroid belt, had not fared as well in their fights against the Terrorcons. Tidal Wave had been carried away by the enemy, and an evacuation of Ocean City had been planned to move citizens out of harm's way... leading to Kicker loudly protesting being forced to leave his home.

Meanwhile, on the Moon, Cyclonus was giddy at the opportunity of once again being allowed to do battle. Sure enough, Cyclonus had his wish granted when wave after wave of Terrorcons begun to attack. Optimus ordered Jetfire to travel to the Moon to aid the ongoing fight there, adding that he would soon to be joined by other Autobots traveling via space bridge. Kicker joined Jetfire in his flight to the Moon. Two Omnicons gave Optimus's teams some Energon Stars to aid them in their upcoming battle while Kicker and Jetfire came upon the Energon mine, now an enormous battlefield. The duo took care of a few Terrorcons on their own before being joined by the other Autobots. Ironhide attempted to take on more than his fair share of Battle Ravage drones, and soon found himself overwhelmed despite the power boost his Energon star provided him. In desperation, Ironhide attempted to take on unrefined Energon to re-energize himself. This only resulted in Ironhide keeling over in pain, necessitating Kicker to come to his aid. The Terrorcons then dispersed, and Optimus ordered the Autobots to reconvene on Earth.

The Terrorcons busied themselves with re-energizing Unicron with the stolen Energon. With the fuel provided, Alpha Quintesson was able to power-up Scorponok, a deadly Decepticon. Alpha Quintesson then allowed the Terrorcons to bring to him the abducted Tidal Wave, and promised the former Decepticon that he would revive Megatron if Tidal Wave cooperated in the Terrorcons' Energon stealing campaign.

On Earth, Optimus was organizing the defenses for Desert City, Plains City, Jungle City and Ocean City. Another attack came, headed for Desert City. Hot Shot, in charge of this location's protection, readied the men under his command for the assault. He was shocked to see Tidal Wave leading the Terrorcon assault. Caught unawares, Hot Shot and his troops were soon overwhelmed by the combined strength of Tidal Wave and the drones. Optimus and his squad then once more joined the battle, and learned of Tidal Wave's desire to revive Megatron. Ironhide faced off against Scorponok, not faring too well against the larger opponent. Ironhide eventually managed to hold his own by using an Energon star, but the Terrorcons simply left once they acquired the Energon they had come for. Nonetheless, Ironhide had earned his Spark of Combination from Optimus. Kicker watched on with pride as the Spark was awarded to his friend.
