Rachel is a human from the Animorphs continuity.

Only one toy, and it doesn't turn into a grizzly bear. Awww.

Rachel is an Animorph. She is fully aware of the dangers the Yeerk invasion presents. Nonetheless, she is convinced she is a force not to be messed with. The yeerks shouldn't even try to mess with her. She believes her lion morph gives her courage and speed that she will need to save the world. Her friends. Her family. Even you.

Part of the first wave of Animorphs toys, Rachel transforms from a human who watches too much anime into a (male) lion, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. Unlike other toys in the line, her "full" human face is hidden under normal circumstances, as a button on the back of her head must be pushed in to flip up the lion-face mask of the transitional form. Her lion mode front claws, or "Combat Claws", are separate pieces that attach like gloves.

Notes

• Rachel's packaging art is based on the actress that portrayed her in the Animorphs television series, Brooke Nevin.
• Rachel's lion morph, having a mane, is a male. While it does fit with the book canon, as the Animorphs would end up with opposite gender animals at times, it still opens up... interesting discussion topics.
• Rachel is the only Animorphs character to have only one toy. (There was also only one Taxxon toy, but it doesn't represent any specific character.)
