My initial impression is that this article is a parody of the Transformers, rather than a true article. Not ever having heard of the Jointrons, and seeing what I believe to be a bad photoshoped picture, I can't but help but think the Jointrons are not what they are described here. :Sadly, there is little to no actual parody in this article. The Jointrons exist, and they are indeed extremely bad Mexican stero-types. They even play in a mariache band. My initial impression is that this article is a parody of the Transformers, rather than a true article.
