IDW Generation 1 continuity
After the end of the Great War, Krok's team of "expropriation specialists" were scavenging energon and spare parts from the Decepticon corpses on Clemency. Misfire's insistence on sampling the harvested energon backfired when he took some from a Monstercon that had overdosed on circuit speeders, leaving him more than a little...wired. Rules of Disengagement The team later used the Monstercon's circuit speeder-laced energon to jump-start a stasis locked Grimlock. Who's Afraid of the DJD?
Shattered Glas
The Monstercons Fangry and Squeezeplay were captured by their fellow Decepticon Demolishor, who was actually a Transformium construct in service of the Underbase. As part of their Robot Master experiment, the two Monstercons were forcibly binary bonded with the humans Donnie and Nestor. They were later freed by the crew of the Annex. Coalescence
Notes
- The Monstercons are presumably the Decepticons' equivalent of the Monsterbots.
- Skullgrin was referred to as a "Monstercon" in the original Marvel story "Monstercon from Mars!".
