Cityformers are Transformers that have alternate modes that are intended to be a city. In actual fictional appearances, however, city-bots very rarely approach actual city size. They are typically closer to the size of a large building. In the comic, some characters are simply depicted as a bit larger than the average Transformer. The six main cityformers are:
Sometimes, there is an entire subspecies/group of Transformers with city alternate modes. They are called Titans or Megamasters.
Component Transformers
Cityformers feature smaller Transformers that transform from components of the city-bot itself. Fictional appearances of these Transformers are somewhat rare, when they do appear some have been shown to have individual personalities and others appear to be mindless drones.

Notes
- For 30 years, no official all-encompassing term existed for Metroplex, Trypticon, and similar characters; they were only variously referred to as having "city" modes, hence this wiki titling this article with the ad hoc term "city-bot". Then finally in 2016, an Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News Reporter Facebook story post as well as the Beast Wars: Uprising text story "Intersectionality" used the similar term "cityformer" in-universe, giving us a canonical name.
