Six Changers are a rare type of Transformer that, as the name implies, have six forms between which they can alternate. Most are part of the Generation 1 continuity family, which has a grand total of four characters based on two molds.
You could call them Sextuple Changers, but that'd just be silly.

Fiction
In G1 U.S. fiction, Six Changers have a tendency to be portrayed as unstable. In Japanese fiction, they tend to be ninjas from the Six Clan, who are unsure of their allegiance. What this says about either ninjas or the unstable is unknown.
Notes

- The Sixshot/Greatshot mold was later retooled to make the heroic "Ninja Detective" Shadowmaru for Takara's Brave Police J-Decker toyline. Amusingly, while the other 5 forms are of standard size for the series (assuming 5 meters in robot mode), his size for gun mode was increased to the point that, in Transformers terms, Omega Supreme could use him for an oversized rifle. Shadowmaru also had a prototype "brother", Kagerō, who could only change into three forms. He was not produced as a toy. More on Shadowmaru here.
- In 2015, IDW Publishing's More than Meets the Eye comic series introduced Greatsix, a Decepticon under the command of the IDW version of Deathsaurus, based on an early design of Greatshot and utilizing Shadowmaru's colors. It is ambiguous whether Greatsix is a Six Changer is not.
- Similarly, it is yet unclear whether Agonizer, who is modeled on Sixshot, is a Six Changer or not.

- ↑ While not officially called a Six Changer, his profile states that "his many victories have helped him gain the power of a six-step change skill," making it sound as if he's meant to be one.
