Kaz is a Klingon from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Kaz is an officer of the Klingon Empire.

Under the command of Kuri, Kaz and other Klingons attacked the dilithium mine on Cygnus Seven, but the Federation's defenses disabled their ship and they were forced to retreat to a nearby moon. There, they occupied a mysterious city believed to have been of Federation make. When the Decepticons arrived, Kaz alerted Kuri and the commander went to confront the Transformers. Prior to Star Trek vs. Transformers, Kaz's only appearance in Star Trek media was in the Star Trek: The Animated Series episode "The Time Trap". In that episode, Kaz is an ordinary Klingon, and not the cyborg he is presented as in the comic.
